The Chiara String Quartet

Graduate quartet-in-residence at the Juilliard School, the Chiara String Quartet is at the forefront of a new generation of exceptional American string quartets. Praised for its "utmost commitment and ardour" and for how it "creates an intimate electricity," the group won first prize in the prestigious Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. The Chiara Quartet has toured extensively throughout the U.S., and made its March 2004 Alice Tully Hall Debut at N.Y.'s Lincoln Center playing on Stradivari instruments loaned from the Juilliard Rare Instrument Collection. As part of a Young Audience program the group plays for thousands of N.Y. school children each year and through music camp residences has gained solid experience in coaching gifted young chamber musicians.
