Zoia Bologovsky, violinist, combines an active international chamber music career with orchestral work throughout New England. In addition to the Arden String Quartet, she has led the Civetta Quartet and the Boccherini Ensemble, winner of the international competition Concerts Atlantiques. She has performed at the Fountainbleau Festival in France, the Graz Festival (Austria), and at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, Italy. Closer to home, Ms. Bologovsky performs regularly with the Boston Ballet Orchestra and the Rhode Island Philharmonic. An enthusiastic teacher, she has been long-standing faculty member of the Powers Music School, teaching violin and chamber music. She holds a Masters degree from the Juilliard School and an Artist Diploma from the Boston Conservatory. Her teachers have included Shirley Givens, Franco Gulli, Mitchell Stern, and Stephanie Chase.

Rohan Gregory, violinist, has cultivated a wide-ranging expertise in chamber music and world musics, including stints with the Apple Hill Chamber Players, the Ancora Ensemble, the Amethyst and New Bohemian string quartets, and the internationally award-winning Boccherini Ensemble. When not in town to perform with the Boston Ballet Orchestra, the Boston Lyric Opera, The New England String Ensemble, or the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, he may be found on tour in Europe with the well-known klezmer group The Klezmatics, in Thailand with the Indian-fusion group Kaleidoscope, in India with the Indo-jazz ensemble Natraj, or on the U.S. West coast with the Sophia Bilides Greek Folk Ensemble. Mr. Gregory has coached chamber music for the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, for Music at Port Milford in Ontario, Canda, and at the Apple Hill Chamber Music Festival. His principal teachers were Marilyn McDonald at the Oberlin Conservatory and Charles Treger at the University of Massachusetts.

Kate Vincent, violist, hails originally from Perth, Western Australia. She was a founding member of the Firebird Ensemble, appeared with the Emmanuel String Quartet and Young Australian Virtuosi, and was featured in recital on Australian National Radio in the "Young Australian" program. In Boston, she has performed with groups such as the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Emmanuel Music, and the Boston Philharmonic. As a member of the Benten String Quartet, she appeared in the "Art of the Ensemble" series at Banff, Canada. Ms. Vincent has recorded with the Callithumpian Ensemble for the Tzadik label. In additon to performing, Kate teaches at the Conservatory Laboratory Charter School, repairs bows, and recently had her first photography exhibit at Studio 222. She completed her undergraduate viola studies with honors at the University of Western Australia and holds a Masters degree from the New England Conservatory of Music.

Rafael Popper-Keizer's approach to playing the cello has earned him unqualified praise from such noteworthy practitioners as Mstislav Rostropovich, Joel Krosnick, Gary Hoffman, and Jules Eskin. Although he maintains an active presence in the Boston contemporary music scene, having recently worked closely with composers Leon Kirchner, Arthur Berger, George Rochberg, and Gunther Schuller, Mr. Popper-Keizer is an avid proponent of early music, in which capacity he has performed frequently with harpsichordist John Gibbons. Mr. Popper-Keizer has been featured as a solist throughout the United States, including recitals in New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall; the Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C.; and as a guest artist on the faculty concert series at Grinnell College. As a chamber musician, Mr. Popper-Keizer has appeared nationwide in various capacities, including performances in the Rockport Chamber Music Festival in Massachusetts and the International Musical Arts Institute in Maine. Locally, Mr. Popper-Keizer has concertized with many of Boston's most esteemed chamber musicians, including members of the Borromeo String Quartet, the Museum of Fine Arts Trio, and the Boston Symphony Orchestra; as well as a recent appearance with Lucia Lin and Heng-Jin Park Ellsworth of the Boston Trio. Upcoming engagements this year include appearances as soloist in the Dvorak Concerto, with the University Orchestra of Santa Cruz; and in the Beethoven Triple Concerto, with the Indian Hill Symphony in Massachusetts. Mr. Popper-Keizer is also currently engaged in the production of a compact disc of cello sonatas by Grieg and Franck to be released by Centaur Records.
