Faculty Biographies

Gisèle Dalbec (violin), Concert Master Kingston Symphony since 1989, teacher, adjudicator and freelance performer across Canada & U.S. Recorded for the CBC and on CD. Hold degrees from U. of Toronto and Yale. Member Quartessense.

Susan Gagnon (cello), Mus. B. U. of Western Ontario. Master classes with Janos Starker, Aldo Parisot. Principal contributor to new RCM cello syllabus. RCM examiner. Member, Hamilton Philharmonic and String Quartet Panache.

Reginald Quiring (viola), former principal violist of Quebec Symphony and Associate Principal of the Vancouver Symphony. Active chamber musician and freelancer in Toronto and Principal Violist of the Vancouver Opera Orchestra. Studied with Donald McInness at U. of Southern California and Gerald Stanic at U. of British Columbia.

Angelique Toews (violin), Member Toronto Symphony. Former member National Ballet of Canada and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Founding Member of the Silo String Quartet and the Austin String Trio.
